The popularity of TikTok is only increasing every year. This is largely due to the fact that there is a very thin line between ordinary viewers and the authors of the video. Anyone can record their video and publish it immediately, and there is a certain chance that it will “take off” and gain a lot of views. And Tik Tok statistics helps bloggers track what content is more interesting for viewers and draw conclusions accordingly. In this article, we’ll show you how to view this information.
Manual
Previously, when registering, a user created a personal profile for which analytics was not available. To view it, you had to switch to the author’s profile or business account. But now the developers of the TikTok platform have simplified everything.
At the moment, you can view statistics immediately after activating the corresponding function in the mobile application. General information will be displayed there. But through the official website will get access to all the information. Let’s deal with both options separately.
And at the end of the article, we will mention the use of third-party services. They will be useful if you need to see information about someone else’s profile.
Option #1: Mobile app
To get to the page with statistics in TikTok, it will work like this:
- Open the app on your smartphone or tablet.
- Tap on the “Profile” tab on the bottom panel.
- Next, click on the “Menu” icon in the top right corner, it looks like three bars.
- On the new page, go to Author Tools.
- Tap on Analytics.
- Click the “Enable” button in the info window.
Now, every time you go to the “Analytics” page, you will see your profile statistics. Let’s go through all the available tabs in more detail.
Browse Tab
It displays general information regarding the content of the author: user activity while viewing (“Engagement” block), the number of new subscribers, the number of new videos and information on live broadcasts (streams or broadcasts). At the same time, at the top, you can select the time for which the analytics will be shown.
Content Tab
This tab contains information about the videos that you have uploaded to TikTok recently (7 days to be exact). First, their total number is displayed, and in the block below they are distributed by the number of views.
Followers Tab
Here you will see a graph of subscriber growth over the past month, distributed by day. At the same time, detailed statistics on the audience will be available only after recruiting 100 subscribers. In this case, the author will see the gender ratio, popular countries from which it is viewed, engagement and other information.
Live tab
And this tab displays analytics on live broadcasts, peak views, gifts received, new subscribers, etc.
Option #2: Official website
At the very bottom of the “Analytics” page in the mobile application, it is indicated that access to the full statistics of the TikTok account can only be obtained through the official website. That is, on smartphones and tablets, only a part of all information is displayed.
Get to the full statistics will come out like this:
- In any browser on your desktop or laptop, go to this link .
- Log in to your account in any convenient way. The easiest way to do this is through a QR code and an application.
- To do this, select the option “Use QR-code” on the site.
- Then go to the TikTok settings page on your mobile device in the same way as suggested above.
- Next, run the tool “QR-code”.
- Activate the scanner by tapping on the marked icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Give the application access to the camera, if necessary.
- Point your device’s camera at the PC screen and wait for the scan.
- To confirm in the mobile app, press OK.
This will display full analytics for your TikTok profile. The division into blocks is the same as in the previous case, so there will be no confusion. But the site has a handy function “Upload data”, with which you can save information from a specific tab as a table file (XLSX or CSV) .
Option #3: Various services
The previous two options dealt with a situation where you need to get analytics in relation to your profile. But it happens that you want to “dig” into strangers, for example, to study a competitor or just for the sake of interest. Directly in the application, you can only see the number of subscribers, views, likes, comments and reposts – general information.
For this reason, there are a considerable number of online services that provide statistics for any profile. As an example, we will take the free Russian-language site Exolyt, and then we will mention others where there is a desired function.
Instructions for use:
- Go to this link.
- In the text box, enter the name of the user you would like information on. The name is displayed on the profile page and is always preceded by an @ sign.
- Click “Find” to continue.
- Accept the terms of service.
There are other online services where you can view your Tik Tok profile statistics. Among the most popular are:
- Analisa.io – a user-friendly site, but with an English interface
- TikBuddy is a service that offers a special browser extension to quickly access statistics
- TikLog
- And others
Summing up
If you are interested in the statistics of your own TikTok profile, then in most cases the function built into the mobile application will be sufficient, which is activated in just a few clicks. And full information will be available on the official website of the platform.
There are also various services with which you can view analytics on the profiles of other people, for example, the Russian-language website Exolyt.
