Looking through the feed in the Tik Tok application, we often stumble upon people who may be of interest to us. We want to follow their updates, so we subscribe. But over time, interest may disappear. Sometimes we can subscribe by accident as the like button and follow profile are very close in the video. In any of these situations, the user has only one question – how to unsubscribe on TikTok. It’s quite simple and fast.
Via a person’s profile
If you subscribed by mistake or just want to remove someone from your Interesting List, go to that person’s profile. We will see that under the nickname, as well as brief information (such as the number of followings and subscribers, the total number of likes) there is a small menu. Most often, it contains three buttons, large bloggers have four.
We need to click on the second one from the left, it looks like a little man, next to which there is a checkmark. As soon as we tap on it, the first two buttons turn into one red button with the inscription “Subscribe“. Ready! Note that you can leave a message only if you subscribe to the profile.
Through the list of your subscriptions
Another way is for the user to go to their own page. This is especially true if you want to go through many at once, make unsubscribes quick. We do the following:
- To do this, find the screen below and go to the tab called “Me“. It’s on the far right.
- Click the “Subscriptions” button.
- Your entire list opens up in front of you.
Here we can either scroll to the desired person (if the list is not very large), or simply enter his name in the search. Click on the black button to the right of the nickname. Once it changes to red, it means you have unsubscribed.
How to unfollow everyone at once in one click
Tik Tok did not provide for the possibility to remove the subscription from everyone at once. Everything will have to be done manually through the previous method.
Recommendation: if you are planning a mass unsubscribe, then remember that TikTok does not impose restrictions, but any large number of repetitive actions may attract attention towards your account. This is what can lead to blocking.
Start with 10-15 unsubscribes, take a short break and continue at the same pace. This will reduce the possibility of a ban.
How to find unsubscribers
If you notice that the number of your subscribers is regularly decreasing, you can go to your statistics. For this:
- In your profile, click on the top right button in the form of three parallel lines.
- In the settings that opens, select the “Author Tools” section.
- We need “Analytics“.
It will be available if at least one video is published on your page. Here you can switch between tabs. We are interested in “Followers“. In order for the analytics to work in full measure, you need to wait a while.
It will not show unsubscribers by name, but you will see the growth and activity of other users on your page.
Why was I unfollowed
There can be many reasons, but if at one moment the activity went almost negative, and there are almost no new subscribers or not at all, you may have been shadowbanned.
If this really happened, we recommend not to be active for some time (at least about a week), and then start publishing videos again.
One of the reasons for unsubscribing can be a sudden change in content. It also affects your personal activity.
We will never know for sure, but we can analyze for ourselves, see what we did or did not do.
Unable to unsubscribe
There are all sorts of reasons for this: poor Internet connection, an outdated version of Tik Tok, a lagging smartphone, and so on.
First of all, check the connection, then go to the store of your operating system, find the application and take a closer look if there is a “Update” button there.
If this is not the case, then try clearing the cache, for this:
- Go to “I“.
- Click on the top three lines.
- Scroll down to the “Free up space” section.
- Select “Clear cache“.
By clicking on this button, we erase all Tik Tok data. Our drafts are also subject to deletion. Be careful. But it can solve freezing problems.
Sometimes phones simply do not pull the amount of information that is located on them. In addition, Tik Tok is quite a voluminous and heavy application for smartphones.
Summary
Unsubscribes are a painful topic for those who have been “rejected”, but a pleasant one for those who rid themselves of unnecessary unnecessary information. This can be done in two ways. Don’t rely on third party apps.
