Logging into TikTok for literally 30 minutes, you can see more than 100 videos. Some of them will not be of interest at all, but some will be liked so much that you even want to share with someone. Surely, many of you have found yourself in such a situation when you mistakenly scrolled through the video and did not know how to return to it. Is it possible in principle? Let’s figure out how to watch watched videos on Tik Tok.
App browsing history
I would like to start with general information. The fact is that the developers of the application did not provide a special function with which you could see which videos you scrolled through. It is possible that in the future it will appear, but now something similar, unfortunately, is not.
The user has only two options:
- Scroll up the video to find the one you want. But this will only work if the application has not been closed.
- Open a list of those videos that have been “liked”. Specifically, they are placed in a separate section.
Let’s consider each of them in detail in order to understand everything.
Option #1: Swipe app
The Tik Tok application is designed in such a way that it remembers the videos watched from the subscriptions and recommendations feed until it is closed or crashes. That is, you can return to what you watched most recently. To do this, go to the “Home” page and swipe down the screen instead of up as usual. With these swipes you can get to the first Tiktok you saw after the last launch of the application.
Unfortunately, this method is somewhat limited, because everything needs to be scrolled through manually, and immediately after closing, the history is reset. But in many cases it can be useful.
Now let’s figure out what to do if it is not enough.
Option #2: Go to the list of liked videos
Unlike your browsing history, the videos you like are saved on TikTok forever. They can be opened and viewed at any time. In the case of a mobile application, this is done like this:
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap the heart icon.
- Check out all the videos.
You can find the one you need among the general list by the cover or by scrolling through each with the usual swipes.

- Go to section “Liked”.
- Find the desired video.

Unfortunately, there are no other ways to get to the watched videos on TikTok. Accordingly, this can only be done if you have not yet closed the application or marked “Like” when viewing. In other situations, nothing will help. It remains only to remember the name of the author, go to his profile and search for everything manually.
Over time, developers may listen to TikTok users and add a full-fledged feature to view history, but there is no information on this at the moment. So try to like the videos you like or add them to your favorites list.
Alas, these are the only options for accessing previously seen videos. There is nothing else in the mobile application for this. This means that you can achieve the desired result if you have not closed it yet or if you like the video you are interested in. In other situations, nothing can be done, unfortunately. The only solution is to try to remember who the author was, open his page and search for the video manually.
