Tik Tok never ceases to delight its users with various features that greatly simplify the process of shooting video content. In addition to a convenient camera, there are many effects and filters that users of the application almost cannot do without. But do not forget about another important component – the audio track. Many people wonder how to put music on Tik Tok. This article will discuss several of these possibilities.
Methods
To begin with, it is worth understanding that Tik Tok itself offers us to overlay audio in two ways: before the video starts or after. This is done through a ready-made sound found in the vastness of the recommendations, or using the “Music” tab. It is located at the top (during shooting), bottom left (during editing the finished material).
A few tunes
In order to add not one, but two or more songs at once, you will have to look for an already existing such sound, or create it in other places, and then transfer it to TT. The application itself does not have the function of cutting tracks. All you can do in the internal editor is choose the moment at which the shooting will take place.

The Internet gives out a huge number of different editors, so choosing something really convenient and working is quite difficult. We offer a small list of applications that you can try to work with.

Upload a video with your own audio
In order to do this we can:
- Record a video of your screen by playing a specific track.
- Crop it in film, then upload this fragment to Tik Tok, post it privately (how to do this is described in the next paragraph).
- Open it and click on the record, change the name (using the pencil) and use it for the video.
This is done fairly quickly. Any application or built-in function, like on iPhones, is suitable for the video screen.
Insert music at the end of the video
In order for the music to play at the very end of the video, we need to do some things. Let’s start:
- Choose a song of any length.
- Record a video for the fragment of the song that we want to add to the end.
- If the song needs to be cut at the right moment, do it right here in the editor.
- Shooting a video.
- When everything is filmed, we can also edit the duration of the video in the “Video Adjustment” section.
- Click “Next“.
- Next, save as drafts or immediately set privacy settings: “Who can view” – “Only me“.
- Click on “Publish“.
- Go to the new video, which will be in the closed padlock section in the profile tab.
- Tap to the center with a long long touch and select “Save“.
- Go to the video creation, shoot either here or in a regular phone camera an excerpt without music.
- In the Tik Tok camera, select the “Upload” button in the lower right corner.
- First, click on the one without music, then the one with music.
- Press “Next“.
- We get the button “Music. Synchronization“, but we click on “Default“.
Now we can cut, change the speed of our two splices, and then click on “Continue“. This way, you can only insert music at the end of the video.
Audio problems

Unable to add the track you like
Some sounds, melodies may not be available in certain regions. In this regard, an unpleasant sign may appear, stating that you cannot use the audio track.
If the track just won’t load, it’s best to clear the cache or update Tik Tok. Be careful with the cache, your drafts are deleted along with it. This may also be due to the problematic operation of the smartphone, reboot it. Or wait a while, Tik Tok may have crashed or technical work is in progress.
Sound is missing from an existing video
This happens when this sound is removed. This is usually due to copyright. There is no way to solve this problem. If you remember what melody was in a particular video, download it to your device and overlay it again. The truth is not worth spreading – they will delete it again.
