The Tik Tok application allows its users to find a huge amount of content just by scrolling through the recommendations feed. We see a lot, but mostly it’s video and music. Each user has the right to save such material to himself in the “bookmarks”. This section has its own title. This article will help you figure out how to view your favorites on TikTok, as well as what exactly you can add there.
Main purpose and location
To find this section, we must go to our page. To do this, tap on the “Me” button in the bottom menu.
Then click on the flag icon next to the “Edit Profile” button. 
Video
Let’s take a closer look at this place. What can we find here?
The first tab that opens to us is called “Video“. It’s not hard to guess what kind of content can be stored here.
How to remove/add video
To remove and add to favorites, you can use just one button. Which will slightly change its name. It depends what you are going to do.
Choose the video you like, click on the right arrow.
In the window that opens, we see various additional buttons, but we are interested in the lowest ones. Look for “Add to Favorites” there, all with the same flag sign. Once you click it, the menu disappears and a notification pops up at the top of the screen.
Hashtags
The next tab is called “Hashtags“. Here we can keep the so-called “links” because the titles can easily take us to the right kind of content.
To add, find the desired hashtag in the search or just on one of the videos in the recommendation feed. Press and hold your finger on it. In the new menu, select the desired button to save this hashtag to yourself. It can also be removed in the same way.
Music
In this tab we can save any sound we like or want to use in the future.
How to add/remove
If there is already audio here, click on the button of three lines to the right of a specific song. You will be thrown to the sound itself. You can also get here if you click on the plate in the corner of the video.
Right below the song title, we can see “Favorites“. Click on it to remove this sound from your saves.
Effects
This tab saves any effects and masks that we can use while shooting. In order to save, we open the camera and go to “Effects“. There is a huge selection here. Click on any, and then click on the checkbox, the mask will be moved to favorites. 
Also, effects can be found from the videos of other users. They are easy to find. If they are present, they look like a yellow button right above the person’s nickname.
Click on it and save.
From computer
Tik Tok is adapted specifically for smartphones, therefore, with the full computer version, you will not be able to use a number of functions. In order to use Tik Tok from PC, we can download an Android emulator like Bluestacks:
- Go to official site of the developer and install on your PC program.
- Launch and enter Google data.
- Download in Play Market Tik Tok.
- Log in to Tik Tok.
Now you have almost a tablet in front of you, only on a computer. We can perform almost any action here, as if we were sitting on a smartphone.
Do other users see
If you are concerned about the issue of privacy, then you can be sure that this section will be available only to you and no one else.
How to download favorite music
Some users are wondering if it is possible to download any material from their saved ones. You can only video, as is usually the case in Tik Tok. But downloading the same music, for example, will not work.
Possible problems
No one is immune from problems, and if they arise, something needs to be done about them. If you find that you do not have access to the favorites section, or some specific information is not displayed, and so on, then try the following steps:
- log out of your account and then log back in;
- restart the application itself;
- switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data and vice versa;
- clear the application cache (be careful not to accidentally clear the drafts you need);
- Reinstall TT.
Usually one of these methods can be useful, as often the errors are due to crashes in non-updated versions or the like. But sometimes there may be problems with authorship, the copyright holder, then the problem is unlikely to be solved.
If the problem is not the loss of specific material from the section, but a really large-scale one, it is best to contact support. For this:
- In your profile, click on the three parallel lines in the upper right corner.
- We need a “Support” section followed by “Report a problem“.
- Going to “Account and Profile“.
- Click on “Profile“.
- Select the option here “Favorites content is not displayed“.
Next, we read the information that is provided to us. We can select “Problem Not Resolved” and then click on the button that appears to navigate to the option to leave feedback, attach screenshots and describe the situation.

But do not forget that it is not automatically cleared, and if you forget about it, you can accumulate a decent amount of all sorts of “trash”. It is better to delete irrelevant materials in time.
